'''Extruder won't stop heating up'''

From SoliWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

My extruder won't stop heating up. I have it set at 195, and it gets over 220. It has already melted the peek pipe. I have a spare hot end but I don't want to put it in until it stops heating past the setting.

Reply:For me it was a bad mosfet. I switched the one for the bed and the hotend on the board since they are the same. Make sure you unplug the printer when you aren't using it if you do this mod. The bad mosfet may continue to supply power until the source power is removed.
